Meet Alex

Hello! I’m Alex, a Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator and Certified Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention Advocate in the state of Oregon.

I am a highly sensitive and deeply feeling person who knows pain, knows suffering, and knows the difference.

I entered the world introspective in nature and quickly developed a keen interest in understanding what motivates human behavior. At a young age, I began to notice that my observations of people were often not what was outwardly presented. This perceived incongruence led to years of confusion around how to develop a healthy sense of self in relation to my environment. After decades of deeply questioning reality (my own and objective *if there is such a thing), I decided to study Contemplative and Somatic Psychology at Naropa University. During this time I had the unique opportunity to practice alchemizing pain into peace by first deepening into the story of my own body. It was through meditation, altered states of consciousness, somatic awareness, ruthless self-inquiry, dream study, sensory deprivation, and solitude that I learned how to skillfully navigate complex psychic terrain and embody a more authentic way of life. The self-compassion I have cultivated along my own journey now serves as the foundation from which I support others. If experience has shown me anything, it’s that healing is a non-linear and ever-evolving process of learning, unlearning, and re-membering ourselves until we find the courage to lay it all down and rest humbly in our hearts.

Although healing is a messy and often times uncomfortable process, it can also be filled with humor and many moments of joy. Proper support is key. As a trauma-informed and client-centered facilitator, my general approach is one of curiosity, connection, and unconditional acceptance. I draw inspiration from the Hakomi Method, Organic Intelligence, Somatic Experiencing, and Interpersonal Neurobiology in supporting the integration of mind, body, and spirit as they work in unison to guide you toward wholeness.

I believe my role as facilitator is to provide a safe, open, and reflective environment that supports the flourishing of your innate wisdom. I am passionate about the transformative power of relationships and believe that the facilitator-client dynamic plays a significant role in meaningful outcomes.

My professional background includes working with children in the foster care system, families affected by substance abuse, and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. All of which have contributed profound meaning to my life and shaped my approach to healing.

I welcome people of all genders, ethnicities, sexual orientations, ages, cultures, sizes, socioeconomic status’, religious beliefs, & political views into my practice with an understanding that diversity appreciation is necessary in creating healthy, harmonious ecosystems.

I am fortunate to receive ongoing guidance and training from seasoned mentors, teachers, and leaders in the psychedelic and mental health fields. And I will forever be a student of ancient wisdom traditions, modern science, the plants themselves, and my family (my greatest teachers).

I look forward to our work together.
